Time: 07:30, if meeting at UCT, or 10:00, if meeting at the Homegrown Bakery Café in Ceres (1924 Phillip Street).
Number of places available: 20
Details about the outing: We will be stopping at a quarry next to the road to look for fossils and will be guided by two specialist palaeontologists. Although we will not be walking far, please wear sturdy shoes as the stones in quarries are not always easy to walk on. Also, bring a hat, sunscreen and water. We will be operating on a “leave no trace” principle, so please carry out any litter and leave fossils where you find them. If you have a geological hammer, you are welcome to bring it along.
